What is your shooting style?
A.I have a very true to life style and really enjoy capturing authentic and natural interactions between family members/lovers/friends. Your gallery will be a mixture of some traditional portraits and more candid and interactive photos.
For Portraits, I do my best to represent the real you and listen to any creative ideas and suggestions you might have.
What is the best time of day to photograph?
A.I am happy to work around your schedule and find a time that works for everyone. We are all busy so I get that some hours might be difficult for you. Especially with young kids who need to nap or are used to a special bed time. However, the best light happens in the first two hours after sunrise and in the last two hours before sunset. So if possible and for the best results, having the session in that time frame would be ideal.
What should I/we wear?
A.Wear something comfortable that you feel like yourself in.
The best route is usually to go with something that’s tried and true. Something you know moves with you and hugs you in all the right places. Your outfits should be a reflection of you!
Neutral tones are ideal and light coloured clothing will help to reflect light (aim for neutrals, earthy tones, and metallics). Don't forget to think through your clothing choices logically based on location, vibe, and comfort level.
Once the session booked, I will send you a document with tips on what to wear and you can always send me photos and ideas for me to help you decide on what to wear!
How do I book?
A.Just send me an email (hello@sarahplanchonphotography.com) and I will get back to you ASAP!
What is your policy for rescheduling?
A.I try to be as flexible as possible with scheduling and do not charge any fees to reschedule. Please let me know at least 48 hours prior if you need to change the time or date of your session.
However, your deposit will be lost in case of a cancellation.
What if it rains?
A.If the weather isn't on our side, we can decide to reschedule our session, or - if the weather permits - we can put on our rain boots, take out our cute umbrellas (which I will provide) and have some fun in the rain.
How will you edit the images?
A.I will carefully edit all the photos before sending them to you.
My editing style is minimal and very true to life. I believe that photos are timeless and a true to nature editing style will make them last forever.
When and how will the images be delivered?
A.Your images will be delivered digitally within 3 weeks of your session. I will email you a link to your personal and private online gallery where you will be able download the high-resolution files.
Do you provide the original files of all the unedited jpegs?
A.The original photo files of the edited images and other ones that weren't used are not to be given or used as they do not reflect my work. But you will be provided with a selections of carefully edited photos that I believe are the very best photos from our time together!
